The Unity Puzzle
The Unity Puzzle invites young children into a world of quiet challenge and natural beauty. At first glance, it appears simple: four curved wooden segments surrounding a central disc, all nestled within a solid oak base. But its asymmetric design offers a gentle test of focus and coordination — ideal for ages 1 to 3. Each quadrant is made from a different exotic hardwood: warm Tigerwood, vibrant Padauk, deep Purpleheart, and striped Zebrano. At the centre, an engraved oak circle anchors the puzzle in place — a nod to balance, calm, and belonging.

For example, our vibrant Purpleheart isn’t just a colour— we had to switch to diamond-tipped blades to be able to shape one of the world’s densest woods.

Everyday care. Wipe with a damp cloth and let the wood dry naturally. Please don’t soak it or put it in the dishwasher.
Where to keep it. Away from radiators and direct sun. Wood moves a little as the air grows drier or damper through the year, which is quite natural.
Refreshing the finish. When the wood begins to look dry, rub in one thin coat of Osmo Wood Wax Finish Extra Thin (1101), the finish we use ourselves, and let it dry fully before play. Once dry, it is food-safe. For babies who mouth their toys, ideally wait two weeks. Or let us make it easy: our Toy Care Kit has everything you need.
