Like story stones, the pictures prompt; unlike them, they join into the path the story took.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eHow it is made\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThree tiles of solid oak, 120 mm square and 13.5 mm thick, each planed and sealed with shellac before the bridge and the troll’s hands, the river and its plank, and the two bears are engraved. Iron and vinegar ebonise them so only the engraved lines turn black, and Osmo hardwax oil finishes them.
